I am glad to show you my simple season change system near the campfire for the Frost Land Survival game. The main work is done by 2 shaders. First one presses snow layer under the ground, second one blends 3 different UV's of the models using masks. This way 3D artists have full control over how the models will look in any of the 3 areas, while programmers only care about the location and size of the masks. It works very fast and looks quite nice due to the smooth transitions between seasons.
